Module Indicative Content
This module aims to develop students' creative responses to twentieth century and contemporary poetry, whether as writers or readers. It will explore in detail a wide range of British and American poetry, focussing on how poems and poetic language work - the craft of image, rhythm, structure, line and voice. The module will be assessed by a personal journal tracing the student's creative interaction with poems on and off the reading list, and including related examples of his/her own poetry and/or his/her close readings of individual poems.
