Module Learning Strategies
This module requires candidates to commit to 150 learning hours (including assessment). It is intended to provide a vehicle for the learner to undertake further exploration of topic areas of particular interest or application, and to demonstrate reflective learning and application to the workplace.
Students will be introduced to core concepts of personal leadership and management, and the notion of the reflective learner. They will then be supported through a period of reflective practice in the workplace, where they will undertake the construction of a reflective log, exploring issues that arise through independent learning, collaborative learning with peers and further tutor-led guidance.
The learning outcomes are selected to provide a context within which individual learners can explore and apply learning in a pragmatic way, to deepen their understanding of key concepts and to effect both personal growth and organisational improvement.
This module draws on the teaching delivered through modules BSB10392-6 (Effecting Positive change in the Workplace) and BSB10394-6 (Personal Awareness and Effectiveness). It therefore can only be studied alongside or subsequent to these modules.
