Indicative Content
Following the agreed scope and plan produced by your engagement with the module “Work Based Project Preparation” at level 5, you will:
• conduct your own independent research into an identified and agreed issue within your workplace
• develop a range of solutions
• evaluate those solutions (especially in terms of Return on Investment)
• present a business case for a recommended solution
• implement that solution
• evaluate the outcomes of your implementation against your business case and original scope
As the formal learning required for this module is contained within the Work Based Project Preparation module, the contact time represented here is for formal supervision and advice from a module tutor.
Assessment Details
A project report detailing the examination of the chosen aspect(s) of business management (5000 words, 100%, all Learning Outcomes)
You will also deliver a short oral presentation on your project as part of your End Point Assessment. This is a part of your Apprenticeship and not part of the assessment towards your module or degree classification.
Learning Strategies
The learning strategy for the module requires students to commit 300 learning hours (including assessment). This will include 4 scheduled guided learning hours and 296 hours of independent and self-directed study.
The focus is on the development and implementation of the project.
You will also need to engage as appropriate with colleagues and other stakeholders in your project.
