LO2: Recognise a range of different team models within workflows and their application.
LO3: Reflect upon your team dynamics and effectiveness using research findings that include reference to the current team status.
LO4: Discuss and provide resolutions for the individual requests, problems, and actions of others and how to fulfil a variety of roles within different group dynamics.
MODULE ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT DETAILS
Assessment 1 - Presentation on Group Dynamics
Students will take part in a group learning project that includes a variety of team-based learning tasks to evaluate and understand their group dynamics and give a presentation on how effectively they were able to work as a team throughout the team forming process.
LO1, LO3.
Assessment 2 - Team Dynamics Report
After their group learning project, students will research and apply current group dynamics theories to reflect upon, explain and evaluate their and their groups performance within a groupwork setting critically.

WEB DESCRIPTOR
Barely any parts of the esports sector (or any adjacent industry) exist with people working in isolation. In this practical application focussed module, students will develop their understanding of how to effectively work within various team dynamics and redefine their abilities to overcome obstacles as a group. Students will then reflect upon and apply current working theories to their groups’ performance, to prepare for the integration into the inevitable teamwork in and industry setting.
MODULE LEARNING STRATEGIES
Students will be expected to engage in a variety of learning strategies, including but not limited to:
- Tutor led formal presentations
- Workshops and group-based tutorials
- Discussion/debate cantered learning
- Participation in group activities, including presentations and discussion panels
- Directed reading
- Self-directed/independent research
MODULE TEXTS
Book list and reference resources will be located in module handbooks and updated annually (amendments confirmed at the Annual Planning Event).
