1. Individual Poster (One Page) (30%) (LOs 4) which will also help in preparation for final Exam.

2. Individual computer-based exam (2hrs) (70%) (LOs 1-3) The exam will be computer based and will consisting of different types of questions, such as multiple choice, open ended, missing word, true or false and calculations.
Indicative Content
This module introduces you to the global financial management environment - the economic environment for business. The nature and role of global financial markets and institutions. The nature and role of money markets.

This module will cover business valuations - nature and purpose of the valuation of business and financial assets. Models for the valuation of shares. The valuation of debt and other financial instruments. Efficient market hypothesis (EMH) and practical considerations in the valuation of shares. The use of CAPM and practical implication of efficient portfolio theory.

Risk management - The nature and types of risk and approaches to risk management.

Causes of exchange rate differences and interest rate fluctuations.

Hedging techniques for foreign currency and interest rate risk.

Thinking big in financial enterprise. This module explores the complexity of global financial markets and how firms allocate financial and non-financial assets in the pursuit of value creation. You will also explore financial risk and diversification, capital budgeting and advanced investment appraisal techniques that are essential for firms in their pursuit to maximise shareholder value.
Learning Strategies
Concepts, theories and principles will be explored, practiced and demonstrated. Practical skills enhanced by recommended videos and talks. LinkedIn Learning will be used to direct self-study learning throughout the study block. Cognitive and personal skills developed in open-ended problem-solving exercises. Oral feedback will be given during sessions. The assessment will examine the wider learning outcomes expressed in the descriptor.
