Module Details
INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module will further develop skills you gained in level 5 on Life After Staffs 1. You will present your work in ways that are creative, challenging and professional, and that reflect your personal style, whilst taking into consideration industry requirements particularly associated with the area you wish to join. Bearing in mind there will be others with similar aspirations, you will need to develop particular insights that give you an advantage, such as niche markets, emerging brands, socio-economic changes, and how to align your identity to maximise its potential. This will require collaborative and cross-disciplinary working with contacts you have made within and outside your studies, as well as recognising when and where you should be working independently.

Throughout the module your will extend and refine your portfolio, and will continue to build your online presence. Additionally, you will update your CV and personal statement to reflect your more recently acquired skills and experience, and the increasing professionalisation of your approach.

You will also engage in the planning and implementation of professionally staged event/s. This will provide opportunities to deploy your creative skills in alternative ways, whilst developing further your skills in organisation, time management, team working and problem solving.

There will be an expectation throughout the module that you critically analyse the requirements of the tasks, so that you are able to make informed judgements in terms of working professionally and safely. Continuous reflection on your own work and that of others will inform your personal development and contribution to activities that require collaboration in order to achieve outcomes that meet the needs of the contemporary fashion environment.
