Module Learning Strategies
Lectures and laboratory sessions

Learning on all aspects of the module will be facilitated by lectures, tutorials, problem solving exercises and student centred learning.
Practical assignments using laboratory equipment and post production facilities will support the learning.
Module Additional Assessment Details
100% In Class Assessment
30% 10 minute group presentation which will assess learning outcomes 1 and 4.
70% Practical Assessment which will assess learning outcomes 2 and 3.
Module Indicative Content
Students will be introduced to the fundamental theories and practical of editing motion pictures.
The content will cover:
Introduction to non-linear editing
The theoretical techniques of editing images and sound
Practical methods for compressing content for DVD, web and film
Juxtaposition of images and sound
Montage theories
Presentation skills
Module Special Admissions Requirements
Students must have studied CE00013-1 Film Technology 1 or equivalent.
