INDICATIVE CONTENT
You will develop industry related business and personal skills at this introductory level including:
An introduction to the UK and international film and TV industries
Development for film and television
An introduction to finance for film and television and the role of co-productions
Funding options
You will build on this knowledge by attending skills workshops, which will include CV development, employability skills, and presentation/communication skills.
You will develop and pitch ideas relevant to the current UK and global film and TV industry
LEARNING STRATEGIES
12 x 3 hours The emphasis is upon learning through personal experience, social interaction and reflection. The learning programme is reflecting the view that learning can take place outside as well as inside the classroom. It will facilitate interaction with the world of business as the module progresses. Students will also focus on the employment and business attributes of the film and television industries with emphasis on Finance and Development in these mediums.
The delivered content will consist of lectures, tutorials and guest lectures/masterclasses.
