INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module aims to provide you with an understanding of the importance of audio in relation to the film and TV industry. This will be carried out by isolating the audio aspects of a project and include the creation and integration of voice recordings, sound effects, Foley and music elements.
You will study audio recording and mixing techniques. They will gain and understanding of equipment used through the audio chain and the techniques and methods used to apply to audio projects.
You will learn the principles of sound and the application of microphones, audio recorders and audio effects and mixing systems.
You will engage with lectures and technical demonstrations to develop your understanding of aspects of sound. You will carry out practical tasks to develop your skills in the creation and manipulation of sound. You will develop and create audio projects to demonstrate these skills.
LEARNING STRATEGIES
12 x 3 hours which will be made up from a combination of lectures, tutorials and practical demonstrations and tasks for the students.
