Indicative Content
This module introduces you to the process of developing ideas, creating short scripts and taking these scripts through the pre-production process, ready for production. The module will introduce you to methods to aid idea generation and development and you will learn and develop skills across the following areas.
• You will study script formats and the processes of creating characters, writing action and narrative structure
• You will develop your skills in transferring this script content into pre-production materials including breakdowns, location scouting and recce and production statements
• You will develop skills in the creation and development of ideas relevant to your chosen field of production

5 page script assessing learning outcomes 1, 2 and 4. (50%)
