INDICATIVE CONTENT
You will consider the practices and processes of professional event production and use these to inform the development, promotion, management and execution of a major event on location. Positioning your event in context, you will work collaboratively to develop the digital marketing strategy, audio/visual requirements and logistics. You will learn the professional skills required to enter the industry, including entrepreneurship, leadership skills, awareness of ethical, legal, and compliance issues.
There is opportunity for learning to be personalised, as students are encouraged to undertake an individual project role to develop core skills aligned to their future career aspirations. Individual engagement may be within the disciplines of, audio/visual production on location, event management, and digital promotion and animation.
Through pre-production and production, you will develop a portfolio of artefacts that highlight the preparation, organisation and research required to align your practice to industry expectations.

A Live Event Portfolio covering: Event design, management and logistics; Ethical, legal and compliance issues; Digital marketing, promotional media and animation; Working with industry professionals; Live audio/visual production on location; Problem solving in a live environment.

ASSESSMENT TWO: REFLECTIVE REPORT
A 1000-word Reflective Report documenting the live event, skills development, and actions to maintain and improve your work.

LEARNING STRATEGIES
The learning strategies used within the module include experiential learning, where you will learn through individual research, collaborative project creation and working with industry professionals. There is opportunity for learning to be personalised, as students are encouraged to draw from their influences and undertake an individual project role aligned to their future career aspirations.
Workshops will explore event management, digital marketing, live location production methods and ethical, legal and compliance considerations.
Technical Instruction introduces location production techniques and provides hands on experience with professional camera and sound equipment.
Production Supervisor (Lecturer) will oversee your project. You will receive regular formative feedback on your participation to support personal and professional development.
Guest Speakers will give an insight into audio/visual technologies and career opportunities within event production.
Workshops will facilitate production meetings and provide problem solving exercises.
Screening Event will provide opportunities to engage with industry professionals and experience a film premiere event.
