Module Learning Strategies
The course will involve a combination of tutor-led lectures and seminars and independent learning totalling 3 hours per week.

Module Indicative Content
On completion of this module students will have -
Advanced techniques of location and studio based audio recording.
Understand and operate digital audio recording hardware and software.
Learn principles of surround sound and 5.1 technology.
Produced two complete pieces of `stand alone' audio production for `talk-based' radio.
Understand transmission techniques of radio broadcasting including compression techniques for radio signal distribution through FM, AM and digital modulation techniques.
Module Additional Assessment Details
A PRACTICAL piece weighted at 70% - that will assess Learning Outcomes 1 and 3
A written piece (max 1500 words) weighted at 30% - that will assess Learning Outcomes 2 and 4
