The development of the creative and technical skills required for the production of television documentaries. Produce a practical piece: a documentary production.
1. Analyse a range of documentary programmes including the use of camera and format.
2. Apply ideas and content to produce a documentary taking into consideration any legal or ethical issues.
3. Plan and produce a documentary to a professional standard.
4. Gain knowledge of editing processes and styles used for documentary editing
5. Learn tapeless, rostrum camera, single and multiple source editing
6. Develop Final Cut Pro and Avid for documentary use
7. Evaluate the finished product
