Module Details
Module Indicative Content
A) Students will develop the creative, business and entrepreneurial skills in film and television including:
- Business start-up: Sole trader, Limited company, Partnership.
- Self assessment, rates of pay, industry unions
- Festivals, networking and industry practitioner input
- Digital distribution
- Mobile content
- Multi platform content and distribution

- Developing work experience in various award related industries including independent film, film studios, post production houses, television channels and independent television, film and corporate companies.

B) Students will build on this knowledge by attending skills workshops, independent study off campus and working for a minimum of 25 hours in industry during the module.
Module Additional Assessment Details
Personal Portfolio (100%) will assess learning outcomes 1, 2, 3 and 4 and include :

A) A Personal Portfolio with a minimum of 25 hours spent in work related environment during the duration of the module will be produced to include:

- A Personal development statement/review

- Reflection on skills development and review areas for further personal career development

This time will be recorded in a PDP with evidence of reflection on what has been learned from these work-related experiences.

Engagement in work-related experiences can include any of the following:
- Work placement
- Work experience
- Volunteering experience
- Social enterprise project
- Existing part time work
- Organising an event or series of events
- Setting up a new club/society
- Setting up a business; sole trader, Limited Company, Partnership

and

B) An individual practical and a business plan 1,500 words of mobile content for film, corporate and/or television.
