Module Details
Module Indicative Content
The students will work as a group to produce a studio based topical television programme.
In the course they will gain knowledge of:

1. Scriptwriting Element
Creative and technical requirements including technical directions for studio based programmes.
2. Pre Production Element
How to design, structure, research and produce filmed/edited inserts for a studio programme.
3. Studio Production Element
Working as a team to produce a studio programme.
Aims to provide understanding of the digital technology and creative knowledge used in studio based production.
Module Additional Assessment Details
Semester 1
Class Test: 25% one hour multiple choice test will address learning outcomes 1, 2 and 3.

Semester 2
Group work: The studio programme and working as a team 50% will address learning outcomes 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Coursework: Individual log 25% a 2,000 word coursework assignment will address outcome 1.
