Module Indicative Content
The aim of this module is to enable participants to gain a practical and theoretical understanding of the central themes in the field of post production and more specifically in video editing.
The module will aim to develop and broaden practice through experience of video editing, reflection and critical debate. It aims to develop advanced competency in the technology and the skills of video editing.
Video Editing Technology 2 will expand on the skills and technology covered in Video Editing 1
with extra emphases placed on colour correction and colour grading.
Students will also study some of the relevant mathematical theories and techniques (algebra, calculus, multi-dimensional matrices, transformation and convolution) involved in video editing systems.
Module Additional Assessment Details
A 1200 word report (40%) will assess learning outcome 1
A group practical piece (5 minutes maximum) conducted in teams (60%) will assess learning outcomes 2, 3 and 4

Learning on all aspects of the module will be facilitated by lectures, tutorials, problem solving exercises and student centred learning.
Practical assignments using laboratory equipment and post production facilities will support the learning.
