Module Special Admissions Requirements
Student must have studied CE00784-1 Audio for Production 1 or equivalent.
Module Indicative Content
Students will study advanced sound recording techniques for location and studio based television production.
They will gain an understanding of the equipment used throughout the audio chain, both in terms of the programme sound and communications systems connecting key personnel.
Students will learn the principles of surround sound and 5.1 technology, and will cover both analogue and digital hardware used for audio in television production.
Module Additional Assessment Details
A practical piece weighted at 50% that will assess Learning Outcomes 1 and 2.
A written piece (max 2000 words) weighted at 50% that will assess Learning Outcome 2, 3 and 4.
Module Learning Strategies
The course will involve a combination of tutor led lectures and seminars and independent learning totalling 3 hours per week.
