100% Coursework comprising of:

Coursework 1 80%: As a team/individually research and produce a documentary film addressing learning outcomes 1, 2, and 3.
Coursework 2 20%: Individually produce a log book (maximum 1500 words) evaluating the production addressing learning outcomes 2 and 4.
Module Learning Strategies
Learning will be practical tutorials. A certain amount of study is expected to be from research and self study and application to the practical. Students are expected to evaluate the latest technology used in television documentary production.

2hrs per week learning and application, working individually or as a member of a team and tutor led debate.

Module Indicative Content
The development of the technological and business skills required for the production of television documentaries. Building on the research and knowledge gained in semester 3 apply to produce a practical piece: a documentary production.

1. Analyse a range of documentary programmes and their genres for broadcast via different outlets: including the use of camera and format.
2. Apply ideas and content to produce a documentary taking into consideration any legal or ethical issues.
3. Plan and produce a documentary to a professional standard.
5. Evaluate the finished product.
