INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module aims to progress your understanding of the development and creation of film and TV projects with more detailed finance and business aspects. This will also include an introduction to the various methods of working in the industry with details on freelancing, working as an employee and setting up and exploiting business opportunities.

The module will cover aspects related to raising and managing finance for film and TV projects including traditional and non-traditional funding streams.

You will engage with current methods of raising film and TV finance including the creation of taster tapes and promotional packages.

Aspects of budgeting and cost management will be introduced.

Module Learning Strategies
13 x 3 hours which will be made up from a combination Lectures, Lab sessions and self-study off campus Interactive student centred workshops, lectures and tutorials with personal experience in industry, social interaction and reflection.

Engagement in work-related experiences in corporate, film and television can include any of the following:
Work placement
Volunteering experience
Social enterprise project
Existing part time work
Organising an event or series of events
Setting up a new club/society

Students will be encouraged to continue their work-related experience beyond the level 5 module itself.

This module looks at where that money comes from and how you can build a great project that will give the best chance of getting your content made. We’ll look at what you need to promote and sell your ideas and how stars, agents and festivals can help you raise your budget.
