Indicative Content
You will build critical knowledge and understanding of well-established processes and practices relevant to independent creative film directing and producing. You will apply directing and producing skills through the production of your own creative moving image material via a number of digital Visual Narrative tasks and self-guided production projects.

You will be encouraged to explore your own personal creative themes, ideas and topics, using these to develop and realise an original piece of work or creative contribution which demonstrates initiative and critical awareness of current independent film directing and producing practices.

You will individually progress your self-directed project through the 5 stages of the production process.
Develop: a concept that is personal to you and refine the idea into a shooting script.
Pre-production: of all professional production paperwork to complete the principal photography
Production: of all visual and audio content to realise your idea.
Post-production: of all the materials in to a coherent visual narrative.
Distribution: plan created for the distribution of the final moving image work into the international film festival circuit.
