INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module introduces the history, creative practices and current technology development relating to interactive filmmaking. You will acquire comprehensive knowledge of the key theories, methods and tools currently applied in this exciting field of filmmaking.
You will explore and apply interactive storytelling forms, investigating avenues of production and distribution for immersive content and alternative applications of innovative technology.
Investigating interactive filmmaking tools, you will work with specialist development tools and games engines to create your own practical interactive projects. Building on your existing knowledge of traditional filmmaking techniques, you will consider non-linear storytelling, choice-based storytelling, and concurrent narratives.
Engaging in reflective practice, you will share your experiences with staff and peers. You will contribute to a community of practice and learn from fellow filmmakers. Writing a reflective report will enable you to analyse the project's impact on your current and future filmmaking practice.

1. Interactive Film Production – Assessing Learning Outcomes – 1, 2 and 3 – weighted ay 60%
2. Reflective Report – Assessing Learning Outcomes 1 and 4 – weighted at 40%
LEARNING STRATEGIES
This module will develop your understanding of interactive film production through engaging with research and practical exercises around the history, contemporary and future developments in the field. Problem-based learning will be used to contextualise the development of solutions using the skills and techniques developed through the module.
Workshops will introduce concepts and themes to build your knowledge and understanding of the subject and enable you to develop your applied skills across a range of production tasks with relevant production tools. Technical Instruction will build your competence in the setup and operation of a range of production equipment and post-production tools.
