INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module will continue to develop your production skills through developing and creating documentary or drama moving image content. You will learn general principles of storytelling and media making and can negotiate your own factual or fiction-based projects. You will develop creative skills in the development of story and presentation of your content while developing an understanding of contemporary, and future processes in media production.
You will develop technical skills in camera, lighting, sound and edit. You will develop your knowledge of production methods and investigate key moments in the development of form and content and contemporary productions to enable you to analyse and solve the various problem encountered in your own productions.
The module will also see you work with drama students on the drama project in Semester 2.

ASSESSMENT ONE: DOCUMENTARY PRODUCTION [LO 1,2,3,4]
A 10-15-minute documentary production.
ASSESSMENT TWO: DRAMA PRODUCTION [LOs 1,2,3,4]
A 10-15-minute drama production.
ASSESSMENT THREE: REFLECTIVE PORTFOLIO [LOs 1,2,5]
A 2500-word Reflective Portfolio covering learning in the development of the productions and reflection of learning experiences.

It gives an overview of the pre-production, production, and post-production elements, with reference to the importance of ideas and subject research, visual composition, and audio production. It aims to provide an understanding and overview of the full production process from concept to postproduction and the importance of collaboration and teamwork. It develops the basic production skills required in camera, sound and editing and the interdisciplinary skills of communication, organisation, and planning, which are vital to successful drama and documentary production.
