Lectures and laboratory sessions

Learning on all aspects of the module will be facilitated by lectures, tutorials, problem solving exercises and student centred learning.
Practical assignments using production and post production facilities and equipment will support the learning.
Module Additional Assessment Details
50% Practical - Production of an original 3 minute audio-visual work assessing learning outcomes 1 and 4
50% Presentation - 10 minutes assessing learning outcomes 2 and 3

Module Indicative Content
1.Analysis of technical elements in relation to digital film production and film sound design.
2.Application of film production equipment and waveform software to digital audio and film.
3.Instruction of audio-visual material for a short section of film.
4.Presentation of audio-visual techniques and technology

Prior study of CE00758-2 Film Technology 2 or equivalent

Canon XL1/2 and Panasonic Mini DV Cameras and support equipment.
Digital location audio recording equipment and microphones.
