Module Details
Module Indicative Content
You should be employed in a suitable media environment for a minimum of six full-time working weeks (or equivalent) following completion of your 1st and/or 2nd year studies. The work undertaken will obviously vary greatly from one workplace to another. However all work experience roles must be approved by the module leader to ensure that the level and complexity of work is sufficient to allow satisfactory completion of the assessment.
Module Additional Assessment Details
100% Coursework assessing Learning Outcomes 1-3
1. A 4000 word work experience evaluation report.
2. A presentation and interview.
Module Learning Strategies
You will be expected to undertake duties associated with a freelance and/or PAYE employee of the organisation(s) and to keep a logbook of your activities throughout each term of employment.
Typically contact with the module tutor will be via email but you may receive a visit from a member of academic staff at some time during your work experience if the module leader judges this to be appropriate.
On completion of your work experience you will be expected to produce a report during teaching block 5 or 6. The strategy for completion of this is explained on the module website resource and via discussion with the module leader.
