Module Details
INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module will provide technical and creative understanding to both theoretical and practical problems associated with music video production.

Students will be taught
Cinematography, post production to include image manipulation, digital colour grading and colour correction. Location lighting and cinematography will also be studied in relation to the music video sector. Special attention will be paid to the juxtaposition of sound and image.
RESOURCES
Lectures, library, computing facilities and Internet.

Use of Filmmaking software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Avid and FCP, Scriptwriting software such as Celtx.

Film Production Equipment available from the resource centre in the School of Film Sound and Vision.

Module Learning Strategies
3 x 13 hours comprising a series of 1 hour lectures followed by workshops and seminars. These will be backed up with development tutorials for creative ideas, production and post-production
Directed reading and learning will be given out after each class with practical tasks.
