Students are expected to take advantage of the extensive library facilities available within the University; keeping abreast of current developments through appropriate periodicals and being aware of the work of major practitioners in their subject.
Module Indicative Content
This module will introduce you to skills that are linked to effective and professional performance in the creative industries. You will learn about the practical applications of those skills, which include: written and graphic communication using desktop publishing as well as personal promotion, career planning and organisation.
Module Additional Assessment Details
You will present for assessment a body of work as outlined in the module information pack.
This will be comprise of a portfolio containing:
An illustrated profile of your current practice (1)
An artists statement (2, 3)
A Curriculum Vitae (2, 3)
Module Learning Strategies
The emphasis of this module is on the development of essential skills that will enable you to pursue opportunities in a professional arts environment. The module will be delivered through lectures and seminars.
