An edited illustrated piece of writing designed to articulate artistic intention and obtain critical feedback from tutors. 30% [Learning Outcomes 1, 4 & 6]

An exhibition of finished work, with the presentation of all relevant background research undertaken during the semester, including research dossier, sketchbooks and notebooks 70% [Learning Outcomes 1, 2 ,3 & 5]

Indicative Content
This module will help you develop a high level and range of competence in studio practice through the application of analytical and critical methodologies. It will give you the opportunity to refine an awareness of your own practice within contemporary discourses and to develop further skills in research, reflection, documentation and presentation. It will develop a generative studio practice within a supportive studio learning environment and progress your work to be shown and assessed in an exhibition context. In addition, the module will enhance students capacity to contextualise and theorise their personal practice by means of improved skills in the areas of research and critical thinking.
