You will present for assessment a piece of work that deals with either repetitions, replicas or multiples of the image/object. [1,2]
Module Indicative Content
This module will look at how artists from the 20th century to the present have deployed process, seriality and replication in the production of their work. You will make a practical investigation of the processes and procedures that characterise some of the most significant works by artists using these creative strategies. In the light of this research you will produce a body of work in response to the thematic and visual content of the module.
Module Learning Strategies
The module will look at relevant artists as diverse as Christian Boltanski, Bridget Riley, Sol LeWitt, Donald Judd, On Kawara, Ron Mueck, Allan McCollom and Anthony Gormley, and will reference texts by relevant critics.

You will experience the following learning strategies: Lecture and seminar group work; Researching and information gathering.

You will be able to apply these methodologies to your existing practice or by initiating a new body of work.
