MODULE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1.¿Evaluate the application and effectiveness of¿evidence-based¿research in practice.¿

2.¿Effectively synthesise and present key aspects of research findings.¿

3.¿Critically reflect on the process of engaging with¿evidence-based¿research and consider the wider implications and application for police forces.
MODULE ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT DETAILS
1. A reflective blog critically reflecting on the process of engaging with¿evidence-based¿research, wherein the student will consider the wider implications and application for police forces and the effectiveness of¿evidence-based¿research in practice (60%).¿ This can be delivered in a format preferable to the student (audio, written, video) and¿addresses¿outcomes 1 and 3.

2.¿Research dissemination¿(40%)¿will take the form of a verbal presentation with audience questions.¿ The student will be required to summarise their research and select key findings to present to an audience who have policing knowledge but may not be specialists is the research area.¿ This will address outcomes 2 and¿3.
MODULE INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module encapsulates learning from level 4 (Academic study skills) and level 5 (Research methods) and prepares students for disseminating research findings and reflecting on the impact of research within policing.¿ The module will highlight the importance of reflective practice within research and offer students opportunities to implement this into their work.¿ The module will develop students' wider understanding of the context and practical applicability of EBP and the opportunities for disseminating finding, enhancing learning and implementing change based upon research.¿

¿

This module will cover:¿
