Module Learning Strategies
24 hours made up of tutor led lecture/tutorial/problem solving and practical classes will be used to deliver the core material.
124 hours of independent study will be used to research background information, complete practical tutorials related to the delivery of the core material, to work on assignments and engage in informal teamwork.
Module Indicative Content
Students are introduced new and emerging technologies / multimedia / software that currently exist within the forensic industry for the purpose of investigative functions.
Practical skills in acquiring digital evidence (Video, Stills, Audio, CGi) processing and preparing digital evidence including forensic graphics, forensic animation, imaging manipulation, video enhancement and audio enhancement
Horizon scanning of the latest technological advancement in forensic technology and multimedia
Module Additional Assessment Details
1 x Group Multimedia PORTFOLIO weighted at 50%
1 x individual; practical assessment on digital process of the use of Adobe Photoshop to manipulate digital material
Additional Assessment Information:
Group assessment will include an oral presentation; will be used to assess outcomes 1-4.
