Module Indicative Content
This module will be the 'sister' module to film history and film theory (1) undertaken at level 4. The topics will include e.g. the Hollywood studio system, the star system and significant European movements.
There will be further exploration of theory and theorists who inform a comprehensive study of film e.g. post-modern film theory, Bazin, the language of film.

Module Learning Strategies
There will be programme of lectures, seminars and screenings highlighting the topics to be delivered. The cohort will be expected to engage with texts that are suggested and view films from different film movements. Seminars will enable students to discuss and deliberate film's history and film theory integral to a greater understanding of film.
