INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module aims to provide you with an opportunity to develop your television production skills by producing multi-camera studio extracts and complete programmes. You will be given an overview of the pre-production, production and post-production elements, with particular reference to the importance of ideas development, research, concept and style, use of set/studio design and technical production direction.

You will be given an overview of different TV programme styles and techniques related to a specific genre of studio programming. Topics will include communicating to audiences and developing reading practices, the subject and development of an idea, presentation styles, narrative flow, mise-en-scene composition and other key production components.

There will be a significant number of practical demonstrations/rehearsals and you will be introduced to a range of production skills and techniques in recording, editing and mixing, with particular emphasis on live multi-camera studio production. Health and Safety and risk assessment training will be covered by the media centre technical instructors.

You will be expected to crew on these productions and produce a blog/log report of your learning journey.

TV craft sessions on creative production skills

Short exercises and assignments that help you to apply and evaluate your learning

NB: This module will be accompanied by a comprehensive handbook and VLE support.
