Module Details
INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module will continue to develop your filmmaking skills through developing and creating documentary or drama films and moving image content. You will learn general principles of storytelling and film making and can negotiate your own factual or fiction-based projects. You will develop creative skills in the development of story and presentation of your content while developing an understanding of contemporary, and future processes in film production. You will develop technical skills in camera, lighting, sound and edit. You will develop your knowledge of film production methods and investigate key moments in the development of film form and content and contemporary productions to enable you to analyse and solve the various problem encountered in your own productions.

ASSESSMENT ONE: FILM PRODUCTION: DOCUMENTARY
A 5-10-minute documentary film.

ASSESSMENT THREE: FILM PRODUCTION: DRAMA
A 5-10-minute drama film.

ASSESSMENT TWO: REFLECTIVE PORTFOLIO: DOCUMENTARY
A 2500-word Reflective Portfolio covering learning in the development of the film productions and reflection of production experiences.

Do you want to develop your filmmaking skills? This module develops fundamental skills from level 4 and allows you to work on independent and collaborative projects. You will study both factual and fiction filmmaking and choose your own path of development within these fields. The module is a practical production module where you will complete film projects alongside a study of historical and contemporary styles of production. This is supported with the next stage of technical and creative productions skills in camera, lighting, sound, and editing.
