Module Indicative Content
The module is designed to enable students to reflect on their progress in developing employability skills from level 1, to articulate their current interests and achievements and to research and outline a possible career path in media related occupations after graduation. It will involve investigating media-related employers in the region, and contacting industry professionals. You will have to write a report which includes an overview of media-related jobs in the region, and investigating one possible strand of employment for yourself. You will then plan a possible career path into and through the regional network of employers as a start to a media-related career.
Module Learning Strategies
As well as the above you will access initial whole-group sessions, view a selection video material, read selected texts and have contact with industry professionals. You will develop effective techniques of enquiry and form a realistic appraisal of the opportunities in media-related occupation within the region.
