Module Indicative Content
The module is designed to enable you to engage with a number of different topics and themes in a study of contemporary cinema culture. These topics include 'independent' cinema and post-modernism (narrative form, 'death of the hero', parody and collapse of genre) amongst others. Although references will be made to Hollywood, this will not be the exclusive focus. There will be examination of other cinema cultures too. There will also be student presentations incorporated into the module underpinned by study and research.
