A CASE STUDY likely to include:

A (small team) presentation outlining and justifying a possible career path, supported by a written case study. (1500 words)
An individual essay incorporating an appraisal of present stage of development and an overview of media-related employment of relevance. (1500 words)

Indicative Content
The module is designed to enable students to reflect on their progress in developing employability skills from Level 4 and 5. The student will need to articulate their current interests and achievements and to research and outline a possible career path in media related occupations after graduation. It will involve investigating media-related employers and contacting industry professionals. The student will have to undertake a case study and investigate
one possible strand of media related employment. In addition to this the student will need to document and articulate research undertaken by presenting practical work to support a possible career path/s as a start to a media-related career.

This module is designed to enable you to reflect on your progress in developing employability skills from Level 4 and 5. It will allow you to articulate your current film, television and radio interests and achievements, and to research and outline a possible career path in the media or media related occupations after graduation. It will involve you investigating employers and contacting industry professionals to identify the skills needed to enter a particular professional area of employment. You will also undertake a case study analysis and investigate one possible strand of media/media-related employment for the future. In addition to this you will be able to document and articulate your own research by presenting a case study to support a possible career path(s) as a start to your own career.
