Module Learning Strategies
Students will have access to a supervisor and a team of tutors with practical expertise in production, who will assist in the planning, design, process and progress of the dissertation. Students will be supported through independent learning through regular tutorials. Students will attend formal lectures weekly.
Module Indicative Content
This module is an extended piece of scholarship combined with expertise and skills in production and practice. Students will have the opportunity to take some theoretical element of the MA to further advancement through a piece of practice based experimental work which combines sound/vision/performance with academic theory. This will provide an integration of theory and practice at a scholarly and professional level of attainment.
Module Additional Assessment Details
A dissertation and a practice based piece of work which should include a written component of 8,500 words and an accompanying DVD/showreel product of sound/image, This needs to show all five learning outcomes as described. Work which highlights a unique level of creativity or professional output will be awarded distinction where appropriate. Each part is weighted at 50%.
