100% Coursework comprising of:-
A collection of reflective sketchbooks which will assess Learning Outcome 2, 3 and 4
Portfolio work will assess Learning outcome 1 and 4 weighted at 80%
Practical assessment weighted at 20% which will assess Learning Outcomes 1 2 3 4
INDICATIVE CONTENT
1. To develop skills in observational drawing
2. Tone, mark making and Paint application and its implications for digital tablet reproduction
3. Knowledge of lighting, fabric implications, soft and hard surfaces
4. Scanning and image reproduction of traditional media for forum and professional portfolio purposes.
LEARNING STRATEGIES
Student learning is centred around 12 one hour lectures and 12 two hour laboratory sessions.

Learning on all aspects of the content will be facilitated by lectures and tutorials, problem solving exercises and student centred learning.
Practical assignments using Life Drawing lab and traditional skills will support the learning.
