Character concept designs are essential when working within animation systems. This module will explore the use of a design, anatomy structures and movement as the basis for creating a character design

Assessment Methods and Types Coursework weighted at 100% comprising:
Online log Book (100%) equivalent to 1500 words showing reflection, analysis, research and analogue and digital productions assessing learning outcome 1, 2 and 3
Module Learning Strategies
The objectives of this module is to:
1. Contribute to the achievement of the Learning Outcomes specified for the student’s award at Level 4.
2. Provide an introduction to the study of character concept design.
3. Meet the prerequisite requirements of modules at Levels 4 and 5 of study.
4. Introduce and begin to develop student skills in relation to character concept design.
5. Introduce and begin to develop lifelong learning skills of independent learning and study in relation to character concept design.
6. Enable students to develop their ability to:

• Use ICT
• Work in teams
The module comprises lectures and tutorials and involves individual character concept design within the assignment.
