Module Learning Strategies
Watching demonstrations of various drawing processes, digital input of traditional artwork, re-touching, re-colouring, layout techniques and storyboard production (traditional and using software based solutions). Independently developing your visualisation and layout skills in the studio, computer workshops, other parts of the university / at home / offsite. Independently developing your awareness of professional media, techniques and standards, via research and 'self' development using online resources such as Digital Tutors, Lynda.com etc. Presenting your work in a competent, professional and organised manner, using the systems and methods defined by the module assignment / module staff.
Module Indicative Content
Preparation of mixed traditional and digital 2D artwork, to be translated into digital media for subsequent re-working / re-touching / re-colouring. Instructor led demonstrations of appropriate workflows / software usage, to include custom brush preparation, swatches, layer control / use. TI sessions (where required) providing key Health & Safety instruction and Input / Output instructions (e.g. scanners and printers)

Continuous Assessment: 50% ¿ Character Design Development (50%) (LO1 – LO3)
