Module Details
Module Indicative Content
Students will learn;
1. Visual and technical skills in motion graphics for television.
2. The fundamentals of TV animation and effects will be developing industry standard Adobe After Effects including
- Television colour components (RGB and YUV colour)
- 2D and 3D motion, transfer modes, 3D cameras & lights
- Video special effects.
3. The module will also further develop skills in graphics creation and moving image.
4. Introduction to relevant mathematical theories including 2D space, 3D co-ordinate systems, 3D vectors and geometrical manipulation.
Module Additional Assessment Details
100% Coursework comprising of:
A written report (1000 words) weighted at 30% which will assess Learning Outcome 1.
Practical weighted at 50% which will assess Learning Outcomes 3 and 4.
Peer assessment weighted at 20% which will assess Learning Outcome 2.
