The coursework takes the form of a portfolio comprised of:-

20% Practical based on the completion of an in class project assessing learning outcome 1.
80% Project assessed as a portfolio comprised of a VLE forum 'thread' showing the development of a practical piece asessing learning outcomes 2, 3 and 4.

Module Indicative Content
This module will cover the processes and techniques involved in the creation of motion design (also called motion graphics) projects.

Students will cover:
- Animation techniques in 3D and 2D environments
- Simulation methods e.g. rigid body dynamics, particle simulation
- Basic scripting and expressions to control or automate processes in 2D or 3D
- Multi-pass rendering and compositing
- Workflow requirements for animation
