MODULE LEARNING STRATEGIES
The module comprises lectures and tutorials and involves a 40% coursework research for reference including 2D digital design from real world reference and development and 60% final output in 3D high quality model in animated output.
MODULE INDICATIVE CONTENT
Students will be introduced to the core modeling skills for CGI in entertainment, namely the process of studying real world objects and reproducing them in CG to a high degree of accuracy. Involving the use of modeling, lighting and mapping techniques.
MODULE ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT DETAILS
A COURSEWORK - ART & DESIGN weighted at 100%. Continuous Assessment 40% (LO1-4): ¿ Research, Idea Development, & Visual Concept in 2D Digital Work Final Assessment 60% (LO1-4): ¿ 3D Model Presented in Rotated Animation Video (50%) ¿ Presentation and PowerPoint Slides (10%)

Demonstration of prior learning and the successful integration of such in the development and fine-tuning of design ideas and final project work. This will include the integration of previously learnt 2D and 3D modelling skills in the development of design ideas and their communication. (LO's 1, 2, 3)
