Module Additional Assessment Details
ASSIGNMENT written with accompanying practical work weighted at 100% assessing Learning Outcomes 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Module Indicative Content
Students will learn skills in the following:-

- Using templates as a guide for creating character geometry.
- How to create a UVW map which will then be exported to a bitmap editing package.
- Using a bitmap editing package with the UVW to create colour, bump and specularity maps which will then be reapplied to the model.
- How to create a 'normals' map from a complex model that can then be used to displace a more simple model.
- How to create and use inverse kinematic systems to control movement on a 3d model.
- How to use deformers to alter a 3d character's geometry based on the relative movement of inverse kinematic systems.
