Students are expected to take advantage of the extensive library facilities available within the University, keeping abreast of current developments through appropriate periodicals, journals, literature, CD_ROMs and online resources. Students will also be expected to complement 'lecture' based reviews of media with self managed reviews and discussion groups.
The Blackboard virtual learning environment will be available (where relevant) to support this module. Details will be supplied in the module handbook.

Supervised and self managed reviews of appropriate media, with planned objectives
Agreement of production cycle / workflow with designated 'delivery points' for assets
Demonstration of key techniques / principles via tutor / TI input or video tutorials
Module Indicative Content
This module should demonstrate a clear development and utilisation of prior learning, encompassing all elements of learning to date, such as research, documentation, planning, reflection, communication and application.
Negotiated project based around the use of designated, existing characters (e.g. LEGO characters), to be staged within a suitably designed environment for a parody of an existing game, fairy tale or film title which be be negotiated and approved by staff prior to any work being undertaken.
Students will be able to direct the project emphasise so that both 2D and 3D artists aspirations are taken into account (e.g. artwork)
Module Additional Assessment Details
A single piece of team generated work, supported by individual project folders and development materials and a reflective PowerPoint over viewing the roles and processes undertaken by the team and its members, demonstrating effective utilisation of both human resources available and the finite resources immediately available with Faculty of Arts, Media and Design.
