Module Indicative Content
The portfolio requires the student to research, apply and demonstrate advanced practical ability and understanding in their chosen subject area. They pursue a practical piece of work agreed with their supervisor and proceed to design, implement and test the outcome.
All projects will be grounded in the technology and creative aspects of the award area (film, tv or post production) and will allow the student to focus on extending their skills in the specific aspect they wish to pursue in industry.
Module Additional Assessment Details
A PORTFOLIO weighted at 100%.
1. Practical 'product' related to the award title (Learning Outcome 1).
2. Oral Presentation (Learning Outcomes 2 and 3).
3. A project proposal document (500-1000 words).
Module Learning Strategies
Contact Hours
3 x 1 Hour Introduction to project planning and management followed by regular small or individual group tutorials with supervisor
Student centred learning to include production of practical work demonstrating specialist subject knowledge and skills.
Weekly 20-minute meetings should take place with the supervisor to monitor progress.
