Module Learning Strategies
Contact hours:-

3 x 1 hour sessions introducing research skills and project management followed by regular small group or individual tutorials with supervisor.

Student centred learning to include research and report writing. The ability of the student to organise and manage their own learning is one of the key factors in the creation of a good project.

Weekly 20-minute meetings should take place with the supervisor to monitor progress.
Module Additional Assessment Details
100% coursework comprising:-
1. Written proposal (Learning outcome 1) - 500 words.
2. Final report (Learning Outcomes 2 and 3) - 5,500 words.
Module Indicative Content
The dissertation requires the development of strong research and study skills, which are used to undertake a focused piece of academic study based on a subject grounded in the student's award area of film, TV, post production or related subjects. The chosen research subject has to be agreed with an academic supervisor before commencing study.

The student should be engaging with scholarship and advanced knowledge in their area of interest.
