Module Indicative Content
By studying this module students will be able to build on skills already gained in previous study and demonstrate a range of advanced skills and techniques used in the production of digital film. The module also explores a range of editing styles, the relationship between sound and visuals and their effect on genre. Elements of the module include:

Shooting for genre
Techniques of shooting green screen
The relationship between sound and picture
Undertaking technical testing (sound and visual)
DSLR cameras
Lenses
Advanced editing techniques
Module Learning Strategies
3 x 2 hour lectures, 22 x 3 hour lab/workshop sessions
Learning on all aspects of the module will be facilitated by lectures, tutorials, problem solving exercises and student centred learning.
Practical assignments and workshops using production facilities and equipment will support the learning.
Module Additional Assessment Details
A Coursework weighted at 70% addressing Learning Outcomes 2, 3 and 4. Produce and present an independent short film of 3-5 minutes to convey two separate, identifiable genres as well as undertaking an individual role in the production of a collaborative digital feature film. . (50% practical. 20% presentation)

A 2nd Coursework, a written academic work (2000 words) reflecting on technical aspects of digital feature production weighted at 30% addressing Learning outcomes 1, 2 and 4.
