Module Details
ASSESSMENT DETAILS
Coursework weighted at 100% comprising of:-
Personal practical portfolio website, an A1 poster and a CV which will assess learning outcome 1 and 3
A 20 minute mock interview and presentation which will assess learning outcome 2
INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module will enable you to reflect upon your own skills and knowledge gained from University study and from your own life experiences in order to identify how this knowledge and skill can be utilised to optimise employment opportunities.

Topics to be explored will be:

Personal assessment and career goals
How to look for employment opportunities
Completing the application form
Writing your CV
Interview techniques & communication skills
Working with others
Personal development plans and goal planning
Developing a personal portfolio website
Self-branding and marketing
LEARNING STRATEGIES
The module will be delivered using a combination of lectures, demonstrations and supervised tutorials in a 3-hour period per week. The majority of the work will be of a practical nature and students are expected to use their independent study time to consolidate this work.

1 x 2 Hour Workshop per week over 12 weeks.
This will include a collection of lectures and group tutorials.
Self-directed study for reading, researching, preparing, designing and implementing will take up to 126 hours.
