Module Learning Strategies
3 hour lecture/tutorial per week delivered as 8 weeks intensive Lecture/Tutorial followed 4 weeks of surgery sessions each semester.

A portfolio of assets will involve the creation of 3D assets based on a theme demonstrating the fundamental techniques of the modelling and asset production
Assessing learning outcomes 1, 2 and 3.
Coursework weighted at 50%. (Final)
Consisting of: A practical and an associated written report
PRACTICAL assignment which will include modelled assets in 3D. Assessing learning outcomes 4 and 5.
A written report of 1500 words will communicate and Reflect on techniques implemented and suitability for a game platform. The Games asset production pipeline and further project improvements should be considered.

This introductory module introduces students to the 3D modelling pipeline for computer games using industry standard software such as 3DS Max and Photoshop. Assignments are split into two separate semesters which are designed to build up the necessary skills required to create assets independently without the need for tutorials.
